Francis "Buddy" Truesdell

Francis “Buddy” Truesdell, 60, one of the most loving residents of Darien, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be held at 9AM Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Northside Baptist Church in Darien. Interment will follow at 3PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida.

Born December 28, 1950 inTaft, Florida to the late Harry D. and Mary Etta G. Truesdell, he was a former US Marine and retired truck driver having worked for Florida Rock. Mr. Truesdell was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Darien and was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting. He was also a member of The American Legion and VFW. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Truesdell and John Truesdell, and one sister, Ellenor Noyes.

Survivors include a son, Shawn Truesdell and wife Eunmi of Alexandria, VA, three grandchildren, Brandon, Gabriel, and Abigail Truesdell, three brothers, Harry Truesdell of Pataskala, OH, Charlie Truesdell of St. Augustine, FL, and Frank Truesdell of Darien, GA, and one sister, Betty Harbin of Deland, FL.
