I wanted express my deepest sympathy to you before the Guest book goes offline. As the Christmas season approaches I wanted to pay tribute to Jim and let you know how much you all touched my life.

The years of your posting to Minneapolis in the 80s were among the happiest for the mission's local employees and you two spark plugs were such a significant ingredient. Maureen, I was shocked and saddened to read of Jim's passing in today's Citizen. No doubt it is comforting to you to know that you and Jim shared an exciting life, raising your family and travelling the world together. I hope, in time, the richness of these memories will make his passing that much easier for you to bear.

I certainly remember the years we were neighbours on Ruskin Avenue. The fun and experiences we shared at your home are still vivid in my memory. I know those were Dolorese's favorite years in Ottawa. And the invitation to visit you and Jim in China. What an experience you both provided Dolores, Valerie and I in seeing Beijing while Mao's influence was still so strong. You have no idea how much the two of you influenced our lives.
