Hazel Dean Ehrensperger, 87, died 10/12/2012 at her home at Canterbury Court in Atlanta, after a long illness.
She was born in Munford, AL and lived in the Atlanta area for about 25 years while teaching in the Fulton County School System. She moved to St. Simons Island, GA in 1977 and lived a very active life there until marrying her present husband in 2009.
She is survived by her husband, W E Ehrensperger of Atlanta; two step-daughters, Vicki Dean of Bluffton, SC, and Dixi Dean of Jacksonville, FL; step-granddaughter, Ashley Gunnin of Charleston SC; and a sister, Jill Lusby of Brevard, NC.
There will be a Memorial Service at Peachtree Road Lutheran Church at 2:00 pm Tuesday, 10/16/2012. There will be an additional Memorial Service at St. Simons Island at Christ Church, Frederica on Saturday 10/20/12 at 11 AM with internment of her ashes in the adjacent Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Christ Church, Frederica on St. Simons Island or to Canterbury Court in Atlanta, Ga.
