Herbert C. Carroll

Herbert C. Carroll, 84, of Brunswick died Tuesday April 12, 2011 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles .Funeral service will be held 2 pm. Friday April 15, 2011 at the Golden Isles Church of God with Rev, Bobby Tatum and Rev, Todd Garner officiating. Interment will follow the service in Chapel Park Cemetery. Louie Cox, Jack Williams, Robert Eason, Dow Jones, Steve Hutchinson, Scott Duncan, Tony Brantley, Ricky Daniels are serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are the Prime Timers of Golden Isles Church of God and Sanctuary Sunday School Class.

Family will receive friends from 6 pm. – 8 pm. Thursday April 14, 2011 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Carroll was a native of Toombs County born July 31, 1926 to the late John and Lizzie Carroll and had been a resident of Glynn County since 1953. He was a member of the Golden Isles Church of God where he taught sunday school and served as an usher, clerk, and council member.

Mr. Carroll enjoyed his family and listening to gospel music. He leaves behind a legacy of fond memories and will be sadly missed by all.

In addition to Mr. Carroll’s parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, H.B. and Joe Carroll and sister Mary Ethel Wood.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Kathleen Carroll of Brunswick, GA; daughter Brenda Crews (Eddie), son Herbert Dewayne Carroll (Betty) both of Brunswick, GA., granddaughter Haley Crews Duncan (Scott) of Panama City, Fla., Ashley Carroll and Monica Carroll both of Brunswick, sister Julie Newsome of Lyons, Ga., Doris Willis , of Townsend, GA., Johnnie Mae Miller of Brunswick, GA., brother Howard Carroll (Margie) of Cox, GA., Archie Carroll (Janice) of Jesup, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
