Hollis Leroy Burch Jr.

Hollis L. Burch, Jr., 66, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Brunswick, GA passed away July 31, 2015 at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1949 in Brunswick, GA. He is preceded in death by his son, Joshua Burch of Lake City, FL; parents, Frances Burch and Hollis Burch of Brunswick, GA; grandparents, Chief O.E. and Ora Lee Burch of Brunswick, GA and D. D. and Sarah Frances Knight of Waycross, GA. He was a member of the Glyndale Baptist Church and was a 1968 graduate of Glynn Academy High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1970. He was a member of the Brunswick Masonic Lodge #717. He retired in 2007 from W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor Inc. in Jacksonville, FL. He is survived by his son, Jason Burch of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Jeremy and Jacob Burch of Lake City, FL; sister, Linda Burch Greever of Cumming, GA; brothers, Michael E. Burch, Sr. of Brunswick, GA and Freddy S. Burch of Cumming, GA; 2 nieces, Michelle (Don) Neely of Alpharetta, GA and Candi Burch of Brunswick, GA; 2 nephews, Matthew (Kristi) Huff of Cumming, GA and Michael E. Burch, Jr. of Brunswick, GA; 8 great nieces and nephews and 4 cousins. Active Pallbearers will be, Matthew Huff, Ron Scarboro, Ben Grantham, Mike Browning, Hugh Peoples and Ted Harrington.

Honorable Pallbearers will be the 1968 Class of Glynn Academy. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Edo Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
