Irma Sapp Greene

Irma Jean Sapp Greene, 73. Of Brunswick, GA. passed away Wednesday February 17, 2010 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday February 20, 2010 at the Brunswick Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Craig Deloach officiating. Interment will follow the ceremony at St. Andrews Cemetery in Darien, GA. Dale Cardwell, Chris Grier, Scott Grier, Bernie Kopp, John Smith, and Joey Singleton, David Rogers, and Martey Roberson will be serving as active pallbearers

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA.

A native of Candler County born December 6, 1936 to the late Hoy Sapp and the late Ruby Lee Jarriel Sapp. Mrs. Greene had been a resident of McIntosh County from 1962 to 1971.and had resided in Brunswick since 1971. She was employed by Southern Bell for thirty five years as a telephone operator. After retirement she was employed by Glynn County Board of Education as a Cafeteria Baker. Mrs. Greene was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and also a member of the Brunswick Primitive Baptist Church where she taught children Sunday school.

Survivors include her loving husband of thirty eight years William B. “Bo” Greene of Brunswick, a son William Burton Greene, Jr. of Brunswick, a daughter Felecia Johnson and husband (Mikey) of Brunswick, a grandson Ryan Johnson. a granddaughter Hannah Johnson both of Brunswick, three sisters Colleen S. Finch of Moncks Corner SC. Linda Faye S. Assad of Myrtle Beach S. C. Janice Sapp of Collins GA, a brother Jerry Sapp of Darien GA, a step-brother Hugh Rogers of O’Brien Florida, two sister-in- laws Julia “Judy” Morris of Brunswick, and Blanche Grier of Black Creek, GA. and several nieces and nephews.
