Jeffery Loren Dunn, 47, of Sanford, FL, died Thursday, April 26 in Darien, Ga along with fellow cyclist, Todd Metts, while attempting an 850-mile bicycle trip from Washington D.C. to Sanford, FL to support a Christian Charity.
Jeff was born in Sanford, FL May 14, 1964 to James Roland Dunn and Sandra L. Dunn. Jeff was an avid golfer and bicyclist
and rode frequently all over Florida with best friends Todd Metts and Kenny Hunt, who was seriously injured in the accident. Jeff was an installer for Home Depot and Lowes.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra Dunn and Aunt Sally Neider of Deltona, FL.; wife, Gaylene Coover Dunn; son, Bandon L. Dunn; daughter, Lindsey Fusco, (Kevin); sister Sharon Johnston (Robert); brother, Bryant Dunn (Caroline);sister, Sarah Dunn and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 5, at Central Baptist Church in Sanford, FL at 4 pm with Reverend Alan Brumbach. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Central Baptist Church for Beautiful Feet International.
