He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lois, his son Sean and his wife Ginny of Atlanta and his daughter Meghan Henry Davis and her husband Steven of Brunswick and their two children Reilly-Kate and Sam, who were adored by their grandfather.
John served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps and had recently retired after 32 years as a machinist at CSX Railroad in Waycross, GA. He was the 1st generation of his family, originally from Ireland, in the United States. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees, he enjoyed drinking Coors Light and eating whatever food anybody cooked for him. He was always a hard worker and instilled that principle in his children. One of his greatest joys was being “Pop” to his grandchildren and he loved every chance he had to spoil them...they loved it, too. John Henry was a good man who loved his family and friends very much. He was taken too soon and will be sorely missed. Anyone who knew him will agree, it was an honor to walk this earth together.
