John Ryman Maier, 54, of St. Simons Island, departed this life Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon at St. Simons Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 10, 2015 with Pastors Bob Brearley and Alan Dyer officiating.
Born September 12, 1961 in Anderson, South Carolina to H. Armin Maier III and Caroline Ryman Maier, he was a self employed photographer and computer technician. He had been a resident of St. Simons Island on and off since the late 1980’s. John enjoyed photography, kayaking and travelling .
Survivors include, his father, H. Armin Maier III and siblings H. Armin Maier IV, Alden Maier Parsons and Haynes Maier Studstill.
