

Hospice of the Golden Isles. A celebration of Life will be conducted at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:00AM.
Born April 10, 1932 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Robert John and Reba Aritha K. Brunegraff. She attended Glynn Academy High School. Mrs. Ricks was a homemaker and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fill-in puzzles, watching game shows, especially Steve Harvey’s Family Feud and good food. She was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Ricks, Sr., infant son, Robert William Ricks, daughter, Lynette Ricks, grandsons Travis Ricks (Amanda) and Todd Cleghorne and nephew, Mitchell R. Rush.
Survivors include a daughter, Aritha Montgomery, a son, William E. Ricks, Jr.(Jana) all of Brunswick, a sister Barbara Rush of Decatur, AL, grandchildren, Laurie Branch (Chris), Robert Scoggins, William Scoggins, Gage Ricks (Macy), great grandchildren, Ryan Branch, Connor Branch (Heaven),River Ricks, Cooper Ricks, Jett Ricks, TJ Scoggins, Trevor Scoggins, Caitlyn Cleghorne, and Tyler Cleghorne, great great-grandchildren, Sadie Branch and Bailey Branch, sister and beloved in laws, Rev. Charles and Nuwana Ricks, and Lynette Ricks Vaughn, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She left a footprint on so many hearts. To know Juanita was to love her. Her funny, loving memories will be cherished dearly. She will always be remembered as everyone’s “Nanny”, just as she insisted.
Memorial may be made to Hospice of The Golden Isles or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in her honor.
