Karl Herman Harms

Karl H. Harms, 80, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away on September 23, 2023. Born to the late William Theodore Harms and Florence Emily Rothfuss Harms on March 19, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, Karl was a long time resident of Brunswick, Georgia.

Karl attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated in 1967 before going on to work as a Project Engineer at Hercules Inc. for 38 years. In his free time, Karl was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time at the Coastal Georgia Gun Club and the Indigo Hunting Club. He attended Pine Ridge Baptist Church, where he participated in the ministries for building and grounds, personnel, ushers, baptistery, and the security team.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents, William Theodore and Florence Emily Harms.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Velma Harms; his children, Charlene Gett (Scott), Tammy Harms (Bernie McGee), Amy Harrell (Stephen), Jeff Harms (Mollie); his brother, Harold Harms; grandchildren, Kyle Robinson (Carrie), Jarett Gett, Brandon Gett, Melaynah Brock (Lavell), Ryan McGee, Sarah Beth Harms, Aubrey Harms, Hadley Harms, Tyler Harrell, Emily Harrell, and Lane Harrell; great-grandchildren, Brennan Robinson, Colton Robinson, Sasha McGee, Sarina Gett and Saharra Gett; and cousins, Richard Emmelkamp (Joyce) and Victor Emmelkamp (Liz).

A visitation will be held at Pine Ridge Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00.
