Kolbe Marie Cranmer, 29, of St. Simons Island, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Kolbe brightened our lives with her infectious smile, quick witted humor and loving personality. Parties and family gatherings were best when we could hear Kolbe’s laugh. All of us fortunate to have Kolbe in our lives, will miss her deeply and always.
Kolbe was born and raised in New Jersey and grew up in Beachwood where at Toms River High School South, she excelled at volleyball and academics, graduating in 2011. Kolbe went on to earn her AA Degree from Ocean County College and Ocean County Vocational Technical College where she received her License in Esthetics.
Kolbe moved to Georgia in 2015 where she became another daughter to her Aunt Jackie and Uncle Tygh who nurtured her as she grew into a truly amazing young adult. Kolbe was the best big sister in the world to her young cousins Kolton, Jillian, Peyton and James. Kolbe had a unique connection to the young children in her family, which everyone knew was special. Kolbe lived with her cousin Jesse in Georgia and most recently shared a home with her cousin Molly – both of whom are especially close having grown up together since childhood. Kolbe worked at PrimeSouth Bank where her coworkers felt like family members, and her customers were friends. Kolbe shined bright in her 29 years and made everyone around her feel loved and we are grateful.
Kolbe is predeceased by her loving grandparents James W. Hicks, Jr., Margaret (Cunningham) Hicks and David Cranmer. We are comforted to know they are with her now.
Surviving are loving parents Craig and Ellen (Hicks) Cranmer, sister Kelley (Cranmer) Mastapeter and husband Marc Mastapeter, brother Casey Cranmer, niece Mia Mastapeter and her nephew Marc Mastapeter, Jr. Also surviving is her grandmother Carol Vinyard. Kolbe leaves behind a large family of aunts and uncles and 26 cousins who were among her closest friends and featured prominently in her all too short time with us. There are few words to express the loss Kolbe’s family and friends are feeling today. We all want more time with Kolbe, but we will carry her light and love for the rest of our lives. You will be forever in our hearts, Kolbe.
There will be a Visitation for Kolbe on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mastapeter Memorial Home 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. A Mass will be held on Friday, June 30th at 11:00 AM, Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, 58 Main Street Englishtown, NJ 07726.
