Larry Johnson Cash passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 22, 2022.
Larry was born July 8, 1948 in Brunswick, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Agriculture, and continued this passion as a hobby with an incredible array of flowers, fruit, and trees around his home. Larry followed in his father’s footsteps and began a thriving jewelry repair business, set-apart by being one of the few jewelers in the state to offer watch repair.
Forty years ago Larry married Sam Cash, and quickly became a beloved part of her children’s lives. There was no question for the grand kids and great grand kids, Larry was Papa. He was always ready to make time for family, and dazzled all the kids with his storytelling and his ability to remove his thumb and put it back.
Larry had many passions: cruises, UGA football, gardening, bike riding, and reading. However, his greatest passion was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia, where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Larry was a man of integrity, and a model to everyone of familial love and commitment.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Ned and Mary Cash, his brother Ronny Cash, and his granddaughter Amber Cash. Larry is survived by his sister Holly and her husband Matthew Cook of Statesboro, GA.
Larry is survived by his wife Sam Cash. Their children include three sons: Larry (Chip) Cash Jr of Cartersville, GA, Tommy Morrow and his wife Renea of Carrollton, GA, and Rick Morrow and his wife Beverly of Brunswick, GA. Additional survivors include seven grandchildren: Erin Stewart and her husband Jason of Bremen, GA, Michelle Cheek and her husband Ronny of Carrollton, GA, Emily Wilson and her husband Scott of Temple, GA, Lyndsay Morrow of Atlanta, GA, and Jacob, Joshua, and Elijah Cash of Cartersville, GA; and seven great grandchildren: Ruger, Sadie, and Emma Stewart, Avery, Oliver, and Oakley Wilson, and Regan Cheek; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
