Laddy died unexpectedly at home on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016.
He was educated in Glynn and McIntosh County. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
Laddy held southeastern regional positions representing Kent Industries, then Ecolab. He then operated the Shellfish Division of Jacobs Seafood for many years. He was currently working for Stokes Contracting, Inc., in Savannah.
Laddy loved getting out on the salt-water, boating, cooking, and his many friends.
He is survived by his parents, Gay and Lawrence Jacobs; one brother, Scott Jacobs; sister, Claire “Meta” Willis (James); four nieces and one nephew. He had another brother, Lawrence “Tony” A. Jacobs, who preceded him in death. He left behind a daughter, Stacey Lynn Jacobs; and a son, Christopher Alexander Jacobs.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Darien. Those desiring may make memorials to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Building Fund. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
