Born October 2, 1951 to the late Randall J. and Ruthie Mae Strickland, he was a US Army Veteran and retired courier for NAPA Auto Parts. Mr. Strickland was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Susanne H. Strickland, of Hortense, two sons, Richard Strickland and wife Kelly of Hortense, and James Strickland of Alabama, three daughters, Lisa Marie Strickland of Waynesville, Michelle Denmark and husband Stanley of Jesup, and Christina Strickland of Hortense, two sisters, Linda Mason of Brunswick and Annette McSpadden and husband James of Brunswick, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
