Margaret Louise Richmond, 71, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 5pm in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born in 1940 in Forsyth, GA, Margaret moved to Brunswick, GA as a teenager and resided here the rest of her life. She worked many years as a waitress at Pier 17 restaurant. Margaret loved spending time with all of her family, relaxing on the porch. She also enjoyed planting and working in her rose garden, collecting figurines, dolls, and lighthouses.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie Mann and Roger Mann and a son, John David Daniels.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Sikes (Bobby) of Cox, Martha King (Mark) and Teresa Fusner (Robert) of Brunswick, and Linda Hendricks (Andy) of Blackshear, and sons Melvin Thornton of Brunswick and Ernest Daniels, Jr., of Grovetown, GA. Margaret is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Glynn County Heart Association, P.O. Box 1158, Brunswick, GA., 31521.
