Alex, Al, and Family
St Simons has lost a grand lady, who made the world a better place.  She was my first teacher when I moved to St Simons, and I loved how she addressed me as Mary Lynn.  Years later when visiting the island and seeing her, she still referred to me as Mary Lynn.  She was gracious, and charming and made you really want to do well.  May God's blessings comfort you in your loss.

Meg always made feel welcome at church and on SSI. She was so sweet to my son Taylor as he played with Will at preschool. She made Taylor a beautiful beach blanket with his name cross stitched with little ducks. We still have it. She supported me when Taylor had heart surgery and stood along with my Daddy as elders when he was babtized. She showed me what a true Christian is by her example.

   So sorry to learn of Meg's loss.  She was a truly great lady who meant so much to so many of us.  My sisters join me in mourning this beautiful personality. Wish we could be with you and see the precious little ones that she loved so much.  With heartfelt love and sympathy.  Aunt Moore

Alex,  your Mother was my favorite teacher.  I always remembered the stories she read to the class each day.  She instilled in us a love of reading that I have passed on to my children and grandchildren.  She was a wonderful friend to my brother and Mother as well.  She was an amazing lady!! Alex, I remember fondly your Mom as my 5th grade teacher. I always thought how kind she was but made the silly boys behave! She was so beautiful to me-maybe because of her kindness! I loved how she always read to us-I even continued her practice of reading as I taught. I loved each time passing your home and telling my children, "that's where MY 5th grade teacher lives"! Dear Alex,    I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.  I remember every time I'd see you at GoodWill you would tell me how she was doing. One of the hardest things for me was realizing I couldn't just call my mother to tell her some news. THen  I'd realize that she wasn't there anymore.  iT. will hit you at the strangest Times -you just go ahead and cry.  Sincerely. Joy youngner

Meg Way was my 5th grade teacher, and my favorite... all time... she gave me a life direction and encouragement !! One of the few names I did not change in my book... she will be in my heart and soul forever !!!!

Alex, my family moved to SSI in December of my 5th grade year. Your mother welcomed me into her class with genuine caring and warmth.  She helped me make friends, who have become lifelong friends.  She was a great teacher with a passion for the profession that showed.  Much of my future educational success was due to her teaching ability--I left her class with a foundation that far exceeded many of my peers.  She influenced many generations of children and will be greatly missed.  I can't help but think she recieved an A+ when she entered the gates.

Altho, I didnt have your mom for a teacher, I do remember what a sweet lady she was!!  She will be missed here but what a grand reception she has before her now!! Beyond description!

Your mother was a special lady. She was always very sweet and welcoming to me and my family every time we came to visit with Beth. We will miss her.

A wonderful teacher and someone a student never forgot.  She was such a classy lady and will always be remembered fondly by hundreds of St. Simons children who were fortunate to have been in her classroom.

My sympathies to the Way family.  Mrs. Way was my 5th grade teacher at St. Simons Elementary School, and she was one of the best.  She had a nice, peaceful way about her, and her faith was strong.  I just have to believe that this is the reason for her long life.  She will always be remembered as one of the special people in my life.  Thanks for sharing her with us, Al and Alex.
