In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Douglas, Jr., her younger sister, Tercy King; sister-in-law, Tena Douglas; and brother-in-law, Robert Wilson.
Millie’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her heart and the love of her life, and they loved her right back. Millie enjoyed spending time on the water fishing and cast netting with her husband. She also liked spending time at their mountain cabin in North Carolina especially when it was snowing. It was here that she liked to read and sit in front of the fire with their dog, Forrest. Millie’s family enjoyed her home cooking, and she took great pride in cooking and sharing her meals freely with others. She was known for her red velvet cake and pumpkin rolls. One of the numerous reasons that she will be missed is because the light went off in her kitchen.
