No one could tell a story like Uncle Jack! I call it that "Sullivan thing" because my mother, Jack's sister, has that same ability. Plus they both love the beach, especially St Simon's.
Even though Jack spent much of his adult life living in large sophisticated cities, he still retained his folksy Southern personality. That was his charm.

I didn't know Mr. Sullivan, but I did enjoy the line about St. Simons losing a southern gentleman. He certainly looks like a sweet southern gentleman! I wish I had known him. He had a very interesting, full life. Having spent a lot of time in St. Simons and my father being a Rotarian, his story touched me deeply. I know he will be greatly missed by his loving family and all of St. Simons. My condolences to the whole family. God bless you!
