Noel Nuqui Tayag peacefully woke up in the arms of Jesus on the evening of April 16, 2025. Noel was born in Angeles City, Philippines on January 3, 1946 to the late Fidel and Irinea Tayag. He married the love of his life Sue Tayag on May 27, 1971 and were married for 34 years. Noel is preceded in death by his parents Fidel and Irinea, his loving wife Sue, 1 brother Caloy and 2 sisters Ming and Perlita. Noel has one living brother, Nick (Aurit) Tayag and 3 living sisters, Mai Tayag, Angie Nucom and Chit Tayag of the Philippines.
He is survived by his three sons that were blessed to call him dad. They are Jonathan (Angie) Tayag of Waycross, Edwin Tayag of Kingsland, and Vince (Amanda) Tayag of Woodbine.
He was given the title of Poppy from his ever growing family and was so very proud of each and everyone of them and every accomplishment they had. Noel loved cooking Filipino cuisine, so much so that when we had family gatherings the first thing everyone asked was “Is Poppy coming and is he bringing lumpia?” He enjoyed dancing and listening to music as that was his “exercise” and watching the world and the people enjoying it. Also he enjoyed watching his blogs.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his best friends, Louise, Ellie and Elmer.
