Patricia Louise Ragsdale

Visitation will be held on July 17, 2023 at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick, Ga with service to follow at 2pm. The Reverend Jamil el-Shair, Altama Presbyterian Church will officiate, and Reverend Russell Gladding, Vidalia Presbyterian Church, and Lay Pastor Danny Grace assisting.

Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Berry, Jeff Colvin, Andrew Parmelee, Josh Parmelee, Chris Porreca, and Emory Wright.

Born December 17, 1945 in Brunswick to the late John Leo and Sara Reeves Wright, she was a 1963 graduate of Glynn Academy and attended Georgia Southern University. In 1965, Pat began her career with Zell Hancock Insurance Agency, now known as Galis/Stewart Insurance where she was a Property and Casualty Insurance Agent for 50 years. Pat was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick for 58 years and served as Elder and Clerk of Session.

Survivors include her daughter, Leigh Ann Rowe, and her husband, Ronnie; her granddaughter, Alyssa Rowe (Joc Alexander); stepson, Mark Ragsdale (Kim); and granddaughters, Jessica and Kaley Ragsdale. She is also survived by her sister-niece Sally McDonald O’Cain, and nieces, Lisa McDonald Parmelee, Tracie Wright Porreca, and her nephew, Emory Wright, and their families.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Joseph "Andy" Ragsdale, her son Richard "Scott" Laager, her sister Joyce Wright McDonald, her brother Gene Wright, and nephew Henry “Mac” McDonald.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Erin Brown and many others associated with Visiting Angels. The family would also like to thank, Heidi, Lisa, Nicole, Scarlett, Carol, Britney, Courtney, Donna, Emalee, and several others with GHC Hospice who assisted in Pat's care.
