Chad was born January 4, 1967, in Winter Haven, Florida to Raleigh E. and Winona M. Pickels.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kathryn Duval Pickels and their three sons,William Pogue (Audrey), Benjamin Pogue (Tatum Troutt), and Raleigh Alexander (“Alex”) Pickels, both of his parents, his sister, Sabrina Brooks (Steve), brother-in law John Duval (Kathleen), sister-in law Kathy Duval, nephews and nieces Chandler Brooks (Jessica), Rob Duval (Mandy), Deanna Duval (Ben), Richard Duval, James Duval and Caitlin Duval, who all loved him dearly.
Chad established Golden Isles Granite & Marble, Inc. in 2000, and was one of the first to offer this service in Glynn County and the surrounding areas.
A celebration of life will be held at the family home on Thursday, February 24, beginning at 4:00
p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Down Syndrome
Association.
