Renetta Smith Holt

Renetta Faye Smith Cobb Holt, 68, of Brunswick, died March 31, 2011 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Grace Community Church of The Nazarene, with Rev. Heather Scarbrough officiating.

Born May 21, 1942 in Ware County Georgia to the late Ralph Osborne and Latane Elizabeth Kirkland Smith, she was a retired accountant having worked for Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Mrs. Holt was a former resident of Brunswick in her childhood and young adult life and attended Glynn Academy. After retirement she returned to Glynn County in 2003. She was a member of Grace Community Church of The Nazarene. She enjoyed cooking, crochet, reading, fishing, travel and especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Osborne Smith Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Zelmar G. Holt of Brunswick, six daughters, Donna Woodward of Brunswick, Lori Palo of Dublin, GA, Penny Sarver and husband Gordon of Brunswick, Deanne Wilson and husband Bud of Clarksville, TN, Jennifer Delgado and husband Fernando of Rockford, IL, and Lela Holt of San Marcos, TX, one son, Bradley Mitchell Cobb Sr. of Brunswick, sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, Randal Smith of Long Beach, CA, and one sister, Margie Ford of Clarksville, TN.
