

Robert Glen Jackson, 65, of Darien, died on Thursday, July 26 2012 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 30 2012 at 2pm at Northside Baptist Church in Darien with the Reverend Ronnie Hutto and Reverend W.R. Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday July 29 from 6-8pm.
Born July 26, 1947 to the late Sarah Louise Skipper and the late Robert Duke Jackson, Mr. Jackson was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County and was self-employed as a Independent Truck Driver. He graduated from Darien High School in 1965 and was also attended the Detroit Diesel Technical School. He was a member of the American Legion post #137 and the National Rifle Association. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Lee Jackson, and John Gerald Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his daughter, Tammy Bradley Langdale of Midway, GA, his sisters, Hazel J. Freeman (Ellis) of Darien and Beverly J. Mattox of Lexington, SC and his grandchildren, Justin Langdale and Jordan Langdale, of Lexington, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Skipper, Butch Mattox, Charlie Collins, Darrell Skipper, Ricky Skipper, Jack Hoyt, Dink Hoyt, and Josh Drury.
