Robert W. (Bob) Miller, Sr. passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Magnolia Manor. He was born in Brooks County, Georgia but lived most of his life in Brunswick. He volunteered for many years as a coach with Little League football and baseball.
During World War II he served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific. He worked at Hercules for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pat Greene Miller, two daughters, Lynette Rivers (George), Dicky Lipthratt (Charlie), one son, Robert W. (Bobby) Miller, Jr., one grandson, Brian Rivers (Anna) two great-granddaughters, Sara and Abby, a brother, Roland (Kricket) and a sister, Diane of Tallahassee, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at one o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick with the Pastors Dawn Mayes and Chip Strickland officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Magnolia Manor Auxiliary, First Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice.
