Sharon Virginia Hammer

Shari Hammer was born in Hinesville, Georgia on October 13, 1947, to Carl L. Stanford, Sr. (deceased) and Helen Stanford. She graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1965.

In 1980, Shari met her devoted husband, Don, and they were married in August of that year. In 1990, she followed her dream of becoming an RN. She worked at Southeast Georgia Health System, in home healthcare, and Darien Behavioral Health.

Shari is survived by her husband of 44 years Donald A. Hammer; mother Helen Easton Stanford; brother Carl Lin Stanford, Jr. (Jo Ann); nephews Michael Stanford (Windy), Noah Himes (Katie) and Ashton Dietz; and nieces Adrianna Steffen and Kari Horton

She is preceded in death by her father, Carl L. Stanford Sr.

A Visitation will be held at 10AM, followed by a service 11AM on Monday, April 28, 2025, at College Place Methodist Church in Brunswick, GA. Final resting place will be at Allenhurst Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to College Place Methodist Church, 3890 Altama Avenue, Brunswick, GA 31520.
