

Susan Eunice Champion Harsh, beloved wife, mom, Mimi, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, at the age of 61, surrounded by her immediate family. Born on January 30, 1963, Susan lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Marvin Lee Harsh, and their children: Magan Harsh Dobson (Adam), Jason Charles Harsh (Brittney High), and Nathan Andrew Harsh (Taylor Herron). She was the proud Mimi to Lillian Claire Dobson, Lydia Rose Dobson, Lorelei Jean Dobson, and Hattie James High. She is also survived by her sister, Julia Champion Chancy (Olan), and many other family and friends who loved her dearly.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Andrew Champion, Sr. and Jean Cooper Smith Champion, her brother, Charles Andrew Champion, Jr., her mother-in-law, Linda Lee Westberry Harsh, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Susan had a passion for crafting and a deep love for animals, especially her cherished dog, Lindy. Over the years, her home became a sanctuary for many animals, reflecting her kind and nurturing spirit.
A natural caregiver, Susan not only raised her own three children but also touched the lives of many others through her home daycare, which she operated for over 17 years. Her nurturing presence extended to her church community at First United Methodist of Brunswick, where she faithfully served as a nursery worker on Sundays for many years, demonstrating her commitment to caring for the youngest members of her congregation.
Susan’s unwavering love and support for her family was evident in her active involvement in their lives. She never missed a dance recital or ball game, always present with cheers and encouragement. Her dedication to attending these events was a testament to her deep love for her children and grandbabies. She took immense joy in watching them pursue their passions, celebrating their achievements with pride and enthusiasm.
At the time of her passing, Susan was the Senior Payroll Manager for SNF Chemtall in Riceboro, GA. She had been a dedicated employee with SNF Chemtall since 2012, bringing her expertise and commitment to her work every day.
Susan's life was a testament to her faith in Christ and her unwavering dedication to her family and community.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, reflecting Susan’s lifelong commitment to caring for others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the countless lives she impacted through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
Rest in peace, Susan. Your legacy of love and care will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know you. We will miss you.
