Timothy "Timmy" Robert Spikes

Timothy Robert “Timmy” Spikes, age 50, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus. A life-long resident of Brunswick, he was born October 25, 1966 to the late Markus Ashley Spikes, Sr. and Marion Peerson Spikes. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Terri Rae Wheeler Spikes and a brother, Phillip Lee Spikes.

Timmy attended St. Francis Church and graduated from Brunswick High. He worked in construction and welding. Timmy was known as a kind hearted, caring soul. He will be missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his four children, Crystal C. Smith (Trent) of Brantley County, Robert Paul Spikes, Eli Spikes and Korri Lee Spikes, all of Brunswick; his mother, Marion Pierson Spikes of Brunswick; a brother, Markcus A. Spikes, Jr. (Jane) of Brunswick; four sisters, Cyndie Williams of Brunswick, Barbara Lopez (Julio) of San Antonio, TX, Debbie Moxley (Ricky) and Susan S. Spikes, both of Brunswick; three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2300 Newcastle St., Brunswick, with Father Chris Ortega officiating. Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Phillip D. Spikes, Brandon Spikes, Jeremy Gibbs, Paul Callaway and Carl T. Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. London and Dr. Roma of Savannah Memorial Hospital and Dr. Certain and Dr. Mosher of Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
