

Bill was born in Upland, California, to P.E. and Georgia Garrison on April 27, 1933.
In June 1955, he graduated from the University of Southern California.
In June 1956, he married Patricia (Patti) Lewis. The newlyweds settled in Augusta, while Bill fulfilled his military obligation. Patti taught school in Augusta and Bill golfed a lot. They loved their time in the South.
Returning to Southern California, they settled in the Pomona Valley. Bill was a member of the Pomona Rotary, Claremont Chamber, Pomona Junior Chamber, Y.W.C.A., U.S.C. Alumni, Phi Sigma Kappa Alumni, the Los Angeles Fair Association, University of LaVerne Trustee and Red Hill Country Club for 22 years. In 1968, he was appointed during Reagan's term as a state inheritance referee and served for 22 years. He was a partner at Wheeler, Steffan, Garrison Real Estate in Claremont, California.
Bill and Patti enjoyed travel, golf and collecting friends. And they did all very well. They visited more than 38 countries, many famous golf events and courses, plus 48 states.
In 1985, they moved to the Palm Desert, California, area where Bill owned Canyon Mortgage Company and they were members of Indian Wells and Bermuda Dunes Country Club.
In 2002, they retired to their favorite place - St. Simons Island.
Bill is survived by Patti, his wife of 54 years; and two children, Brian (Joann) of Dayton, Ohio, and Suzanne of Savannah; three beloved grandchildren, Catherine, Scott and Michelle; and his sister, Jan, of Duarte, California.
Bill and Patti settled at Hampton Plantation. They are members of Hampton Country Club.
