Winston Boatright of Waynesville, Georgia entered into his heavenly home on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 78. He departed this life in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. He was born in Alma, Georgia the son of the late Hubert Boatright and the late Anna Bell Boatright. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Melba Dixon, Thelma Carter, Eulene Smith, Elgene Lee, and Beverly Boatright; and three brothers, Wendell, Royce, and Huelon Boatright.
Winston a loving husband, Father, and grandfather. He was also a man that never met a stranger and could have a conversation with anyone. He was always a good provider and a hardworking man. His family was his pride and joy. Winston was an outdoorsman that enjoyed quail hunting in his spare time. One could often see him working in his yard of on his tractor tending his crops. He also loved having his morning coffee and watching the birds. He loved to provide vegetables for his family and friends. He was a member of Glynn Baptist Church. He will be remembered for having the best garden around. Winston will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his many memories are his loving wife of 32 years, Jeanne Boatright; His Children, Al Boatright (Kathy), Ginger Jordan (Steve), Traci Martin (Robert), and Sallie Mauney; seven grandchildren, Whitney (Tim), Grant (keri), Malori, Ashlyn, Alex, Rhett, and Bryce; four precious great grandchildren, Kalleigh Jade, Kinsleigh Jo, Kollynns Jaycee, and Palmer; two sisters, Jenny Boatright Taylor and Joyce Boatright Rowland (Chuck).
The family will receive friends between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The Funeral Service to honor Winston’s life will begin at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Joiner officiating. The burial will follow the service in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Alma Georgia.
Active Pallbearers will be grandsons: Grant Jordan, Rhett Boatright, Bryce Martin, also nephews: Thomas Carter, Nick Lee, Gary Lee, Neil Boatright, Greg Boatright, Henry Taylor, Jamie Dixon, Michael Curtis, Stephen Curtis, Wayne Smith, Ricky Smith, Chad Boatright, and Jay Boatright. Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of Kash Gas.
