Albert Nickolai Janzen

Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose life was marked by unwavering faith, integrity, hard work, and a genuine love for people. From a young age, he committed his life to Jesus Christ, was baptized, and became an active member of the church community, where he faithfully served and lived out his belief in God's goodness and grace.

Born in Coaldale, Alberta, and raised on a farm near Kelowna, British Columbia, Albert developed a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility that would characterize his entire life. His passion for mechanics led him to become a highly skilled heavy-duty mechanic, a profession he pursued with excellence throughout his career. Whether working with engines, solving problems, or helping others, Albert approached every task with diligence and pride.

On August 19, 1962, Albert married the love of his life, Clara. Together they built a strong and devoted marriage centered on faith, family, and service to others. Their life together was blessed with children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in Albert's heart.

Albert found joy in many pursuits. He loved Southern Gospel music, driving, woodworking, and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Friends and neighbors knew him as someone who could fix nearly anything and who took pride in doing every job well. His warm welcome, quick wit, and unique sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Nothing brought Albert greater happiness than his family. He cherished his role as "Opa" and delighted in spending time with his grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. His love for each of them was evident, and the memories they shared will remain treasured for generations to come.

Albert is lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Clara; his children, Brad (Monica) and Cheryl (Clark); his grandchildren, Daniel (Tanya), Peter (Abby), Jacqueline (Ian), Ian (Sydney), Carleen (Dawson), Cassidy (Conner), Maleah, and 13 beloved great-grandchildren.

Albert was predeceased by those he dearly loved, including his daughter, Cheryl Anne; his parents, Jakob and Nettie Janzen; his brother, Jacob Janzen; and his great-grandson, George.

Our family extends our heartfelt thanks to the entire care team on Unit 3 of CareWest Sarcee for the remarkable care, compassion, and friendship you shared with Albert during his brief stay. Your kindness brought comfort to him and peace of mind to those who loved him. We will never forget the warmth, dignity, and respect with which you cared for him.

While our hearts mourn his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that Albert is now at peace in the presence of his Lord, whom he faithfully loved and served throughout his life. His legacy of faith, kindness, perseverance, and love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
