Albin was born and raised in Athelstan, Quebec. He went to work at the early age of 8 and continued to work hard his entire life. He was a refrigeration mechanic by trade, but he was very good at fixing and making so many things.
Albin met the love of his life, Elaine, when she was visiting down east and he decided to head west to Calgary, Alberta to start his life with her. They were married in 1957 and were still in love 69 years later.
Albin and Elaine built a house in Calgary and had a family of 5 daughters.
The love of animals had Albin purchasing horses for the girls to ride. Many, many years were spent at 4-H, horse shows, gymkhanas, and even trail riding in Kananaskis.
Albin is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Lorrie (Ken), Bev, Tricia (Dave), Jackie (Joe); son-in-law, Greg; grandchildren, Jennifer, Thomas (Lisa), Jeffrey, Rachel, Ashley (Will), Kyle, Taylor (Lorilei); and great-granddaughter, Hailey. Albin was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra and son-in-law, Cam.
In keeping with Albin’s wishes a funeral service will not be held.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at George Boyack that provided such compassionate care for Albin in his final days.
