

Alice is survived by daughter, Beverley (Murray) Guise and son, Brian (Gaetane) Zwarich; four grandchildren, Barry (Trish) Guise, Jennifer (Ryan) Gonie, Tiffany (Martin) Novotny and Candace Zwarich (A.J.); seven great grandchildren, Devin Guise, Ella and Logan Novotny, Evie and Nash Gonie and Keelee and Ty Tweten. She is also survived by three sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by husband, Mike, in 1990 as well as her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Alice was born on September 4, 1922 in Winnipegosis, MB and grew up there. In 1944, she married Mike Zwarich of Winnipegosis. They moved to Calgary from Thunder Bay, ON with their daughter, Beverley, in 1954. She worked for Cara Operations at the Calgary Airport until her retirement at age 67. The family would like to express their thankfulness to the 4th Floor staff at Carewest Garrison Green.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 404 Northmount Place N.W., Calgary on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Raul Ranola officiating. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary, Suite 201, 222 - 58 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3.
