She was born in Cetecovac, Croatia. Anna immigrated to Canada in 1958 with her husband Karlo, and her two young sons. The family settled in Calgary and built a comfortable life for themselves.
Anna's greatest gift was her culinary prowess, sharing her special and traditional Croatian dishes, as well as tasty Western favourites, with members and guests of the Croatian Canadian Cultural Center, where she served as head cook for many years.
She is survived by her immediate family, sons Zlatko and Vlado Miklic; grandsons Karl and Nicholas Miklic; and great-granddaughter Kylie Miklic. Anna is predeceased most significantly by her husband and life partner Karlo.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
