

Anne (Warkentin) Dyck passed away on May 12, 2023 at the age of 97. Anne shared her life with her husband F. Leonard Dyck, her stepdaughters Lois Epp (Henry), Joyce Scott (Steve), Brenda Williams (Dave), Myrna Pyra (Brian) and Janet Forbes (Rob), her 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, her large and loving Warkentin family, and many more extended family and friends she made throughout her years of work and active participation in her church and community. Anne was predeceased in 2017 by her husband, and was also predeceased by family and friends who she was joyfully looking forward to seeing again as she contemplated her passing.
Anne was born in Memrik, Russia (now Ukraine) and came to Canada as a young child with her family who settled in Saskatchewan. She became a nurse, and spent many years nursing in Saskatoon, in northern Canada and in Indonesia with the MCC. After marrying Leonard in 1976, Anne moved to Swift Current and later High River and Calgary, travelling extensively reconnecting with family and friends. Anne’s focus was faith and family, sharing wonderful conversations and stories of her experiences with many, even in her last days.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Mennonite Church, 32023 232 Avenue West, De Winton, Alberta on Saturday June 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church.
