

Dad was born in Besserabia, Romania to August and Emillie Pahl on November 20, 1931. With the outbreak of the war his family was forced to leave the homeland moving to Poland and then Germany. In 1949 the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Spondin, Alberta. Dad chose to move to Calgary shortly after coming to Canada and spent the rest of his life here.
He married our Mom (Ethel) in 1952 settling in Bowness where he lived until moving to Agecare Walden in February 2022. They were blessed with three children, David in 1952, Brian in 1955 and Janice in 1956. Dad worked at Pillsbury Flour Mills for 23 years then went to work for the City of Calgary until his retirement in 1993. Mom and Dad then enjoyed 10 years of wintering in Arizona and spending the other months camping with the Happy Wanderers Trailer Club, participating in events and dances with the Bowness Seniors Centre and enjoying time with family and friends.
He was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by his daughter Janice Senger and her husband Stew, son David Pahl and his wife Dianne, six grandchildren Kim Fedyk, Jeff Pahl, James and Mark Senger, Leanne Parrott and Stephanie Pahl, six great grandchildren and special friend Eileen Billings.
He was predeceased by is wife Ethel, son Brian Pahl, his parents and five of his seven siblings.
