

Betty Luk Kwok was born on February 6, 1957, in Sibu, Malaysia. After finishing high school in Kuching, Sarawak, she went to study Education at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. In 1979 she married Ken Kwok. They moved to Calgary, and she worked in life insurance companies for over 40 years prior to her retirement.
She will be remembered as a good, conscientious Christian. Member of the Lake Bonavista Baptist Church. Her grandfather was a Methodist Pastor in Sibu, Malaysia. She read bible and scriptures multiple times daily. She enjoys Christian videos and programs.
She was always kind, generous, sharing love and joy with the family, nephew and nieces, church members and co-workers.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ken. She is also survived by her sister Margaret (Ryan Wong) of Vancouver, two nieces (Ellen and Frances); sister Ching Ling Pan, Elizabeth Pan (Guan Siong Lim), Helen Pang (Andre de Courville); brother Charles (Pauline Chua), brother Andrew (Angie Armstrong), brother Robert (Ivy Lim). brother-in-law Koon W Kwok (Yee Lam), Harold Kwok, Keith Kwok (Ida), Sister-in-law Patricia Ko (John); nephews: Walter (Chrystal) Simon (Anita), Philip (Jocelyn); Nieces: Sheila, Chelsey, Michelle and Tiffany.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. For those wishing to attend virtually, you may do so by using the link below.
