OBITUARY

Carol Noel Miller

28 December, 1947 – 21 May, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

South Calgary Funeral Centre and Crematorium

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carol Noel Miller, age 78, on 21 May 2026 in Calgary, Alberta.

Carol was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, where she met her first husband Carl Dolemo and raised their two children with him. The family lived in the countryside where they kept horses. Carol had a successful career at the University of Alberta where she was a computer analyst.

In 1988, she met Bruce Miller, they later married in 1991. Carol and Bruce had a fun-filled and adventurous life together enjoying their retirement by travelling (cruises and motorhome), golfing, casino and fishing. They relocated to Calgary to a home on the Bow River where they could enjoy nature on their doorstep. They spent many winters in California with family and friends where they went sightseeing, golfing and discovered wine tasting.

Carol’s sense of humour and kindness always showed through, despite the tough exterior. When their travelling slowed down, she kept active and creative with crafts, word games and family dinners and games. She had her addictions: Coke, Gatorade, Lays chips, and country classics at full volume.

Carol is lovingly remembered by her husband Bruce Miller, her children Marty Dolemo (Jarka) and Jody Dolemo (Bernard), by stepchildren Karen Gulbraa and Steven Miller (Christine), and by siblings Shirley Palichuk (Brian), Diana Bevington (Dale) and Wayne Rurka (Twila).

She will be deeply missed by grandchildren Justin Dolemo, Lucas Dolemo, Brian Gulbraa, Breanne Gulbraa, and Nathan Miller.

A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
