Our precious mother, Caroline Audrey Fairbrother (nee Hunt) took her final bow on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 78. Caroline was the foundation of our family, carrying our collective history to share with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. Caroline had a storied career with both the federal and provincial government, ending her career as a respected leader and executive.
After retirement, Caroline and Bill, her husband of 50 years, indulged in their love of travel. Caroline enjoyed her garden, making art and the company of her friends and family. In fact, Caroline's love of art and creative endeavors inspired many around her to explore their own creative enterprises.
Caroline will be remembered for her sharp mind, quick wit, devotion to her family and a remarkably high tolerance for her children's prolific use of profanity.
Caroline is predeceased by her father, Kenneth Hunt, and her son Benjamin Fairbrother (Tanya). She is survived by her loving husband Bill, her mother Audrey, her children Thomas (Lindsay) and Nicola (Daryl) along with her much loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and robust friend group.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
