Catherine Camille Kestner

Catherine Camille Kestner passed away peacefully, at the Foothills Hospital on June 12, 2015 at the age of 39 years. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Calgary when she was a young girl. She attended Bowness High School and carried on to postsecondary school at Mount Royal College and the University of Lethbridge. Her degrees were in Fine Arts and Education. She taught at a variety of schools within the Calgary Board of Education and was an enthusiastic teacher, who taught her students to be thoughtful and kind. Camille has two amazing boys – Spencer Tate born in 2006 and Jaxson Blake born in 2009. Her boys were the centre of her life and she did everything she could to let them know how much she loved them. Camille was a friend to all she met. Her contagious smile and laugh made you feel welcome instantly. Her many close friends are a testament to her positivity and love. Camille loved to travel. She was always looking forward to her next trip! She also loved to spend time in the outdoors with her family. Camille is lovingly remembered by her sons, Spencer and Jaxson; her partner Kelly; her mom Marie Borynsky and her dad Casey McAuley; her sisters, Dionne, Chelsea and Marlainna; her brother Nigel; her nieces, Shawna and Aaliyah and her many aunts and uncles. She is also remembered by her former husband Tom; his parents, Marion and Scott; Tom’s brothers and their families – Ryan, Allan and Christina, nephews Zakary and Calum; Douglas and Tammy nephew Reece and niece Jalayna. A Celebration of Life will be held at the BOWNESS COMMUNITY CENTRE, 7904 43 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T3B 4P9 on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made directly to an account set up for her sons at CIBC, Kestner Trust, transit #: 00109, account #: 7603983.
