Clara was born to Jack and Susan Chow in Medicine Hat, Alberta. After graduation from Crescent Heights High School, she moved to Edmonton and attended the University of Alberta. Clara lived in Henday residence while studying Zoology before pivoting to her true passion in Nutrition and Food Science.
Clara often reminisced about working at Cheemo Perogies in Edmonton, where she created and tested new recipes. She relocated to Calgary to work at Parmalat before joining Condillo Foods. There, she thrived with a supportive community of colleagues.
Clara met Sheldon at Parmalat and celebrated their wedding on a Caribbean cruise. They doted on their dog Mikka before welcoming kids Gabby and Jack. Clara admired Gabby’s creativity and was proud to share her artwork and textile projects. Clara happily watched Jack’s passion develop for all-things hockey and cherished quiet evenings reading together before bed.
Clara was predeceased by her loving father Jack Chow. She will be sadly missed by her mother, Susan Chow; husband Sheldon Pelletier; children Gabrielle and Jack; sisters Audrey (Harris), Brenda (Naden), and Donna (Rob); and nieces Ella, Hazel, Ivy and Kala.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Foster's Garden Chapel Funeral Home & Crematorium 3220 4 Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta.
