Clare is lovingly remembered by her sister Shirley, her brothers, Allan (Cathy) and Ron (Paula) as well as her sons, Garrie (Peggy), David and daughter Faye (Cal). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman, parents Nellie and Sverre, brother Ivan and 2 of her sons, Bruce (Leigh Ann) and Dean (Elaine).
Clare was born in Winnipeg on May 13, 1928. She was a proud Prairie girl, spending most of her childhood in Winnipeg and Teulon, Manitoba. She met the love of her life, Norm in Teulon and they married in Winnipeg in 1947. Clare followed Norm wherever the Military sent him, and she became an expert in packing up her family, moving and settling into new surroundings. She was our ambassador and rock throughout all our childhoods.
A Memorial Service will be held in remembrance of Clare on Sunday December 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at South Calgary Funeral Home and Crematorium, 12700 MacLeod Trail South, Calgary AB. Cremation preceded the service.
