Colin is survived by his wife Deborah Nicholson, brother, sister-in-law, nephew, step daughter Serena, her husband Jonathan and two grandsons, Ezra and Xavier. As well as numerous first, second and third cousins. And we cannot forget his fur babies. Colin was predeceased by his mother and father, Donald and Mary Nicholson.
Colin had several different careers because he was always wanting to learn and try new things. He started off as a police officer for the city of Calgary, worked in the medical field as a paramedic, was the director of emergency services for different oil and gas companies, a safety coordinator on several significant building projects within Calgary as well as providing directions for health and safety protocols for major companies within the city and surrounding areas. Colin retired early and took a part time job as a driver to help keep him busy, active and to have social interactions with new people. He made friends easily, was well thought of. He had a big heart and would do everything he could to help people. That is what truly made him happy and shine. He made a lasting positive impression on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all his family, friends and anyone who had the privilege of meeting him
