Dallas was an ardent sports fan of the Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeders; friends and family are encouraged to wear their favorite jerseys to the celebration.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dallas Butz, who left us suddenly on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta surrounded by family and friends.
Dallas will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his mother Shirley; sister Brenda; brother-in-law John; nieces Tyra and Melanie; nephew Rick Rohl of Calgary and their families; as well as dearest friends Karyn, Steve and Lakyn Poole of Fort Saskatchewan, in addition to numerous cousins and extended family members. “Uncle Dal” will be sadly missed by his great-nieces Jeorjia, Emille, Bella, Sophia, Madi, Ella, Hannah and great-nephews Kellan, Josh and Cooper. He was predeceased by his father, Alvin Butz in 1971.
During his long and courageous fight with cancer, Dallas was extremely grateful for the care he received from the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, the Foothills Hospital Hematology Department, the many doctors and nurses who attended him and those at the Kaye Institute in Edmonton, Alberta.
