It’s with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my Bear, Daryl on November 3, 2023. He leaves behind his wife, Olea, sister; Carla (Rawleigh) Unger, sister-in-law; Darla (Rob) Morrison, brother by heart Randy Knox, nieces; Kyrstyn (Gabe) Burns, and Tori Morrison. He wasn’t only a good Uncle, but a Great one to Lincoln, Amara, Adira and Estelle. He was predeceased by 3 people that loved him, his parents; Mili (2004) and Harry (2019), and his mother-in-law Dorothy Hodgkinson (2022). Know that in his heart there was a special place for all friends and family.
Olea would like to recognize the wonderful staff at the Foothills hospital CICU Unit 103 where they showed so much support and compassion in providing the best care for Bear.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Daryl's life November 19, 2023, at the Arbour Lake Community Centre, 12 Arbour Lake Drive NW Calgary from 1-4:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Veterans' Food Bank Calgary would be greatly appreciated, as this was an organization that Daryl was very passionate about supporting.
