It is with great sadness we want to inform you of the sudden passing of our much loved husband and Dad. Dad was born in Beaver Flat, Saskatchewan on August 8, 1927. He was very proud of the fact he was 94 years and 1 month (he said don’t forget the one month). Dad leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Joyce; daughters Debbie (Alen), Judy and Cindy (Rob); grandchildren David, Katie, Kyle, Jason, Ryan and Jeff; and great-grandchildren Rylan, Kenyon, Tye, Cohen, Parker, Arjay, Shayne and Hailey. He also leaves behind sisters Adeline and Kathy (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad loved life and enjoyed every minute to the fullest. He loved to draw and paint and was an active member of the Greater Forest Lawn Seniors for many years. He was a resident of Bethany Riverview and loved to participate in exercises, hymn sing, special lunches and numerous activities that were offered. We would like to say a special thank you to all of the staff at Bethany Riverview for the excellent care and love you have shown Dad while he was there. Also a huge thank you to our “extended family” at Bethany.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in David’s memory directly to the Parkinson Association of Alberta or to Bethany Riverview.
And as Dad loved to tell you, “thank you for all you have done for me. I love you all.”
