Dorothy enjoyed 19 years at the Sierras of Tuscany before moving to Revera - The Edgemont Seniors Centre for her final months. Dorothy was kind and caring, and served as a Calgary Meals on Wheels volunteer for more than 30 years. She loved a good game of Scrabble and cards with her family, and watching baseball and curling. She was born during the great depression and witnessed the birth of television, space exploration and the internet. She even experienced virtual reality during a pandemic!
She is survived by her daughter Myrna (Ken) Waddell and her son Steve (Patti). Grandma was so proud of her grandchildren Matt (Laura), Lisa, Justin and Stacey (Garrett); her great granddaughters Savannah and Scarlett were a complete joy to her. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Dorothy as well as her dearest lifelong-friend Norma. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Jake in 2002.
The family wishes to thank Revera - The Edgemont Seniors Centre for the care and kindness they provided to Dorothy in the last months of her life.
