We lost a special woman who passed away April 24, 2019. Dorothy loved her life with Farmer; together they came to Alberta from Nova Scotia and started their life and teaching career in Cluny, Alberta. Shortly afterwards they moved to Calgary where she continued teaching for many years for the Catholic School District. Dorothy was an accomplished educator who was respected and loved by both her students and their parents. In her later years, Dorothy was a very proud and active participant in St. Patrick’s Pastoral Care Ministry where the ministry team assisted Father Andrew from St. Patrick’s church in providing spiritual support for patients at the Rocky View Hospital and seniors the Millrise Seniors Village. Dorothy was a devoted wife, true friend, a loving sister, an incredible mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a compassionate, faithful child of God. She will be dearly missed by many, but we do know that she is finally content to be with her beloved husband Farmer again.
