

Dorothy passed away at Bow View Manor on December 31, 2010 at the age of 90 years. She was born October 21, 1920 in Brantford, Ontario to Tom and Elizabeth Stone. She married Everett Orme Pamplin on August 3, 1941; they lived all over Canada and Germany with the Air Force. They retired in Calgary and spent several winters in Arizona. Dorothy always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She was a wonderful seamstress and had a lovely singing voice that she shared with her friends at Bow View. She leaves behind her daughter Carole Helgerson (Phil) of Idaho and her son Larry Pamplin (Jean) of Sorrento, British Columbia, granddaughters Georgia, Kerri, Tonya and Tamara as well as five great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons. She was predeceased in death by her husband Orme, her parents, her brothers Cyril and George and her sister Ivy. A Memorial Service was held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, grateful donations may be made directly to Bow View Manor 4628 Montgomery Boulevard N.W., Calgary, Alberta T3B 0K7.
