Ted is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Florence; daughter, Cheryl (Glen); sons, Scott (Pamela) and Duane (Lisa); grandchildren, Kurtis, Nigel (Emma), Justin, Connor, and Kayleen; and sister, Patricia.
Ted was born on August 26, 1929 in Brandon, Manitoba and passed away on his birthday in 2016. Dad spent 33 years in the oilpatch working for BA, Gulf and Petro Canada, retiring in 1986. His job took him from Brandon to Regina twice, Winnipeg twice, Flin Flon and finally arriving in Calgary in 1971. Dad spent most of the 1970’s coaching, refereeing and umpiring in Southwood Community. Our memories of dad are filled with his love of life, sports, laughter, travel to Australia to visit family and especially dancing with Florence. Always loved and never forgotten.
Special thanks to doctor Dargie, Heinrich, and Unit 57 of the Rockyview Hospital, for their kindness and patience.
As per Ted’s request, no funeral service will be held.
